Introducing Editor 2.0: Design with More Flexibility, Precision & Performance

We’re happy to announce that our new editor based on cutting-edge technology, Editor 2.0 is out of beta, following a year of gathered feedback, lots of new features, and countless usability tests. We’re now gradually rolling it out as an available option alongside your existing Classic editor, giving you the freedom to choose which one to use for each new site you build.

Editor 2.0 offers a seamless design experience from start to finish, with powerful design capabilities and responsiveness that’s as easy to use as dragging & dropping elements on the canvas. It’s based on a completely new layout system taking advantage of Flexbox and CSS grid technologies, reusable components, and a server side rendering model.

The result? You get to design the exact site you want much faster and more efficiently while maintaining full customization control over each element’s position and behavior, regardless of the screen size.

What about performance? Well, you’ll be happy to learn that sites built on Editor 2.0 are faster and get higher CWV scores.
